Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri dixit is famous Indian actress best known for her the roles she played in Hum Aapke Hai Koun. Her career began in the late 1980s, and rose to popularity with her role in the Tezaab film, in which she appeared with an established actor Anil Kapoor. In the following film, Dil, Aamir Khan appeared as well. Early on, as a girl growing up in Mumbai's middle-class, she learned to dance. While still a teenager she attempted acting, however most of those early films did not succeed. Her breakthrough came when she finally had success and was one of the most prominent actresses in the Indian film business. After her wedding, she took a brief break from her acting career until she returned. In the past, she was an integral part in the movie Gulaab Gang which was about the struggle of women across India. Dixit was nominated 15 times to win Filmfare Awards. She won 8 of them. The actress was also honoured with her Padma Shri the fourth highest civilian honour in India. In addition, she is recognized for her charity work.
