Rosalia Vila is a Spanish flamenco and pop singer. From her teens the singer has been involved in popular flamenco and music. Her music also strays into other genres like hip-hop soul, Trap and. The flamenco guitar player Pepe habichuela characterized her voice as delicate and sharp, yet with the bite of older singers. El Mal Querer is her second album, released in 2018, which has been a commercial and critical success. After Los Angeles, her debut album released in 2017, she got a Latin Grammy for Best New Artist and also the Latin Grammy nod. La Fama, featuring The Weeknd is due out in 2021. Motomami is her third album included songwriting collaborations with Cory Henry and James Blake. The album was released in the month of March 2022, following a Saturday Night Live performance featuring the hit song Chicken Teriyaki. Rosalia became the first Spanish artist to sing solo on the program. Motomami was the only female in the history of music to be a winner of the Latin Album of the Year two times in addition to three Latin Grammy Awards.
