After nearly a year and half of dialysis, Angelica was ready to undergo the biggest surgery she had ever undergone- her kidney transplant. It was her mother who donated her kidney. Angelica as well as her mother, went through an organ transplant successfully on September 13, 2013 at two incredible hospitals located right next to each other - Emory University Hospital & Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston.
