Angelica
Angelica Panganiban was born in the Philippines. She's now an Filipino American actress as well as a comedian, host of a television show and model. Angelica Hale desperately needed medical assistance that could save her life and was put on ECMO life-support at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston. The patient became sick, and suffered organ failure including kidneys that did not recover. Her new normal was not peritoneal but the hemodialysis. After an eighteen-day stay in the hospital from the point where she was in danger of dying to her long journey back to healthy. Life was forever changed. After nearly a year and half of dialysis, Angelica was ready to undergo the biggest surgery she had ever undergone- her kidney transplant. It was her mother who donated her kidney. Angelica as well as her mother, went through an organ transplant successfully on September 13, 2013 at two incredible hospitals located right next to each other - Emory University Hospital & Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston.
